Great quality bread knife but not the most beautiful

The Good:-Entertaining samurai story included-Full tang-Razor sharp out of box (like all knives)-Smooth finished handle-Double rivetedThe OK:-Large logo on blade-Forged steel (doesn’t look as good as folded but stronger with cheaper steels)-Proprietary steel (difficult to say how it compares to premium options like VG-10 but probably better than average German steel)The Bad:-NothingIf you’re looking for a no-frills bread knife that promises superior edge retention to the average German steel option this might be work looking at. They hit the necessary things like sharpness out of box and full tang construction. It’s double riveted to further ensure a lasting knife and the handle is well finished poly material. It feels good in hand and the shape is useful for its stated purpose allowing you to cut without crushing. Overall, it’s a great quality knife but you can get something much nicer looking in a higher price range.

Sharp bread knife

This bread knife is pretty sharp, it cuts through the bread very easily and it doesn't tear the bread up, even when the bread is really soft, the overall quality of the knife is super nice, it looks and feels very well made and it has a little weight to it as well, the handle is also easy to grip on to, overall I am very happy with the way this bread knife cuts through bread, I would definitely recommend this knife, well worth the price in my opinion.

Gorgeous and sharp knife

This knife is nice and heavy. The blade is very sharp. It has a full tang which makes it top notch. The presentation of this knife was classy and professional. The box was fantastic.

Comfortable in Hand, Well Balanced...

This knife is extremely sharp right out of box. Presentation was nice and came well packaged. The grooves are smaller than my other bread knife, which I feel makes this one slice a lot better and cleaner. I have no doubt it will slice our homemade sourdough and potato bread with ease!It has a full tang which I appreciate and is made of stainless carbon steel. So this should last quite awhile if taken care of. It feels well balanced and fits comfortably in my hand. This is a great new addition to our knives.

Gorgeous Presentation Excellent Knife

This is an excellent knife. Out of the box, it sliced a tomato precisely and smoothly. While it's advertised as a bread knife, it will certainly be used for many things at my house. It's a pleasure to use: well balanced, smooth and nicely designed handle, easy to hand wash and dry. It has all the hallmarks of a quality knife, including full tang and high carbon stainless steel. The grooves are shorter than the serrated knife I usually use, so it cuts delicate things, like tomatoes, without tearing them. Can't wait to use it on my next loaf of homemade bread. The presentation is elegant enough to consider it for a high-end gift. I was impressed with the beautiful cardboard box (which I am reusing to store valuable watercolor brushes), the enclosed cards, and how the knife was packed in a just enough foam to keep it safe but not feel like I was being flooded with unnecessary plastic. (Using biodegradable packing would have been better but...)The only things I question are: where is it made? I can't find that answer anywhere. And, really, how much more sharp is it due to its "proprietary" formula? No idea and doesn't give a hint, of course, anywhere. Other than those two omissions, I love this knife. Time will tell if I'll love it as much as my German knives, which I've happily used for decades. Here's hoping.
